Struggling with ttc and my husband recently had thyroid cancer

Bailey

So my husband and I decided that November of 2018 I would stop taking bc and start ttc. A little history, I was 13 when I was diagnosed with pcos and 22 when I had my diagnostic and treatment surgery for endometriosis. I have always been told to have kids young because I will have to have a hysterectomy in my early to mid 30s. I do ovulation testing and bbt every morning and each month I have ovulated. I have always been worried I would not be able to get pregnant but trying to keep my hopes up. Each month that af comes I loose a piece of that hope and on top of that in January I found a small lump on the side of my husbands neck got him in to see a head a neck surgeon who biopsied both the lump and his thyroid because in ultrasound they found a small nodule on the right side. We got results the next day, which we weren’t supposed to get back for three to four days, and it was papillary thyroid cancer. March he got his thyroid removed along with a right side neck dissection to remove the lymph nodes on that side. He now has to have radioactive iodine (one time radiation treatment) done in July. If we do not get pregnant before his treatment then we are going to have to put off ttc for another year. Has anyone else gone through this? I’m so nervous. This is our first year of marriage and we are being put through a lot and I just want to give us the chance to start a family. I’m only 24 but I feel like I’m loosing time . Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!
