Do you guys sometimes have issues with putting a tampon in?

I put one in sometimes on my 4th day-ish (I’m on for a week) and it’s like hell. It feels like it doesn’t want to go in and like super super dry down there. I can’t figure out why. It doesn’t do it all the time just sometimes. 
Anyone else have this problem? What helps?

Of its dry use a pad and not a tampon, use a tampon in the beginning instead

Don’t use a tampon if you’re dry. Use a pad on your lightest days.

If your flow is lighter and you feel like it’s dryer, maybe use a pad or a smaller tampon specifically for lighter flow....

Yes, I have the same thing. With me it's because of the position of my cervix. I have to sort of "go around" or wait a little bit. I don't like wearing pads, only when it's a real light flow/spotting. Take your time or wear a pad.
