Ectopic pregnancy

This might be triggering, but I want to make sure you get any type of spotting checked out or called in.

I had been spotting only about one time a day for only 3 out of 6 days. Nothing was bright red, no cramping. Suddenly yesterday morning I had the worst pain of my life, I couldn't even stand up straight. I drove myself to the ER, they checked my levels and they had gone up but had not doubled. They did the longest most oainful ultrasound ever.

They said it was tubal, that I had the choice to do injection method or surgery. My husband wasn't there yet but doctor from my practice was. I asked what he would do if he was my husband because he seemed like 'I better make a decision now' kind of nervous. He said Surgery, I said when he said NOW. They said I could lose the tube. That's what made me start to sob.

Surgery went well, tube is saved. In a lot of pain. I wasn't going to post at all, but I'm posting so anyone who gets any sort of spotting stands up for themselves and gets checked out. It doesn't have to be a scary color, and you are NOT bothering them by calling your doc when you are worried. Most of the time it WILL be nothing, and if you are miscarrying they can't stop it so early on, but I didn't think about ectopic damage, so I'm putting it out there.

My doctor is good, but he was out of the office all week so I got passed to different on call people every time I called who seemed to want to just wait until he came back in.

Good luck to you all.
