What helped my baby sleep better
Here are a few things that have helped my 1 month old daughter take longer naps & sleep longer stretches at night.
- Tighter swaddle (she was always getting her arms out & startling herself once they were out)
- White noise only during nap times & bedtime
- Putting her down when she’s just starting to nod off but still awake
- Paying attention to the amount of time she’s been awake & watching closely for sleepy cues (staring off into space, rubbing eyes, yawning, heavy eyes, & redness around eyes)
Some of these may be obvious but they’ve all been extremely helpful so I just wanted to share in hopes they might help someone else out. Feel free to share your own additional tips in the comments!
