My 8 month old has been sick for weeks. He had hand, foot, and mouth for a week, and he still isn’t better (over two weeks later). His rash and sores are gone but since then he has had a runny nose, on-and-off fever, and coughing so bad that it makes him throw up.

When I spoke to his doctor, he said it’s probably just teething. (I don’t understand how the coughing could be from teething...) But the puking has become concerning to me. I try to push liquids but his cough keeps making him throw it up. Has anyone had an experience like this? Is there anything I can do to help him besides Tylenol when he’s feverish?
