Okay so I’ve never had issues with someone not paying me and I’m really not sure what to do besides this is my friend/roommate. Long story short we planned to take a vacation next month and have been planning since May. We bought our own plane tickets and I bought the hotel. She told me she would split the hotel cost with me since we are sharing a room and pay me back soon. Well it’s been a little longer then a week since I purchased our hotel stay and I haven’t seen any money from her. I texted her and asked her one day if she had the money and I got different responses. “I’ll have to call and see if my boyfriend has money” then “I’ll just go pull money out of my account”. Well now it’s been 3 days since that conversation and I still haven’t seen any money. I casually brought up the hotel at home and she changed the subject on me. I am now short 400 dollars because she told me she was going to pay me and has now not paid me. Rent is due next week and I’m hoping she will give me rent at the same time as her hotel money but I’m getting very nervous. She hasn’t told me why or when she will pay and I’d rather have an answer than her not tell me anything about why she hasn’t paid me. And the last few days she keeps asking me to do things that cost money. She wants to go to the zoo, she wants to go to a concert, and a festival. Which all costs money to enter and let alone eat and drink. If she owes me money why is she asking me to do things that cost money! No! She has been great with rent money and I am hoping she will pay me... should I just wait and see or what? Why won’t she give me a solid answer about why she Hasnt paid me?
