How do you tell a friend who’s TTC that you’re pregnant?

My friend has been TTC for 10-11 months. I am 12 weeks pregnant with my 2nd. 
What is a sensitive, tactful way to tell her that I am pregnant? She lives two states away.

You could tell her that you’re nervous to share, but that you’re pregnant. I wouldn’t just announce it and not consider her feelings in this. It could work out that she shares she is pregnant too... My sister in law announced her pregnancy, and was nervous because we were TTC 8 months, and I knew I was pregnant too but just in the early stages so I wasn’t sharing yet 😂

Just tell her. It took us 18 mo ttc to get pregnant, I never wanted anyone to hide their pregnancy from me. I got excited for all of them and just hoped my turn would be soon.

One of the things that has most frustrated me post miscarriage/cyst removal surgery is that I've told a few close friends what happened and they don't know how to react and end up cutting me out for a bit. I'm not dramatic and crying when I tell them, just kind of matter-of-fact. But then I think they worry they have to treat me with kids gloves, so they back off for a while. It sucks. I want to tell them some of the hilarious shit that happened in the hospital, but they're all too worried it'll be too painful to talk about.
Obviously your friend is going through something different, but don't use it as a reason to cut her out. Tell her and then ask her about her journey in a respectful way. (i.e. don't ask "are you pregnant yet?!" ask how their process is going.) Specifically ask if she needs someone to vent to about it all and really listen if she wants to talk. Don't try to immediately break in with tips or statements like "well now that I'm pregnant..."
