Background: I am always dressing up and love vintage fashion and I am almost always in a dress or skirt and own several day gloves (wrist legnth) and a hat on occasion when I'm doing well enough to put my hair in curlers. I'm usually more put together and elegantly dressed than my peers because that's my aesthetic (not to say they dont look cute the casual look can be so pretty! I just happen to love vintage)

Anyway, my husband and I treated ourselves, as part of our anniversary gift to ourselves, to a live production of hairspray (which is a favorite of my ours) and although the plays here are known for tourists and jeans....

I. WANT. TO. GET. SUPER. EXTRA.

I'm talking petticoat and tea length evening dress (which I have many), French twist, elbow length gloves, the whole works. I never have a reason to get over the top fancy and this seems like the perfect excuse...

Do you think that might be too weird? I know I'll rock it and feel confident but well be in cheap seats and I dont want it to look like were pretending when this is only a small step up from how I usually dress.
