Camping with a 2 month old?

Do y’all think my baby (2 months old) is too young to go camping in a tent for a weekend at the lake? My husband is wanting to go camping at the lake for the 4th of July weekend in a tent, when I told my father he said my baby is too young to go camping especially for a 4 day weekend. Opinions?

I just got back from a week camping trip with my 2 month old. She did completely fine.

The only thing I’d worry about is bearing in mind that they don’t regulate their temperatures well so plan accordingly if the days will be super hot and the nights cold, etc. I agree with the noise canceling headphones too. Otherwise have fun, momma 😉

I agree. As long as you are prepared like everyone else says. It's totally up to you. If you are co cerned at all about any health factors, I would talk to your pediatrician first. We were concerned about taking our newborn out on the boat this summer, but our pediatrician actually encouraged it. So we got him an infant lifejacket & got him out there at 5weeks! He did great! The weather was mild that day (72°), so it was perfect. I was concerned about taking him out when the weather gets warmer, since babies can't regulate their temperature, but my doctors reassured me that he would be fine. Just to keep him in the shade as much as possible and maybe use some cool water on his brow if he gets sweaty. We have gone out with him every weekend since & he does great no matter what the weather is like! I say start them young & they will learn to adapt! Good luck momma!💕

We just got back from tent camping at the ocean! She did so good! I got a little cold at night so we just bundled her up and she slept just as good as she does at home. She loves being out and about!

Like everyone else said just make sure you are prepared. I live in Texas so this clip on stroller fan is clutch for when out and about. 
This tent fan is spectacular too.

I went camping for 7 days when my son wasn’t even a month old yet 🤷🏼‍♀️ the worst of it is all the extra stuff you have to bring for those just in case moments but he did great and nothings better than some fresh air

As long as you go prepared I don’t see a problem. I went camping when my last child was 4 months. We only stayed one night because it was raining continuously. I think if your prepared and experienced at camping then it’s fine. It’s easier to camp with a baby than with a toddler, FYI.
