Bloody show or sweep?

How to differentiate between normal bleeding after a sweep and bloody show? I just had my sweep an hour ago and right away I had light pale bleeding. Now I’m having quite a bit of bright red bleeding. I’ve put on a pad on. Now waiting. 🤞🏻

There’s no way to tell. I had what I thought was my bloody show after a sweep at 39 weeks but nothing happened. Then when I went into labor at 41 weeks I had a real bloody show that looked the exact same but I went into labor the next day.

The bloody show aka mucus plug will look like jelly... If it looks like an elephant sneezed in your underwear or toilet bowl, that's the mucus plug!
