How long should acrylic nails last if applied professionally?

I’m 2.5 weeks out from my last fill and THREE of my nails have fallen off. Am I unreasonable asking they be fixed no charge (I’ll be paying for my normal fill at the same time)?  
I’m used to my nails lasting three weeks but I’m not sure if that considered normal or not! Thanks for the input!

If a licensed professional applies acrylic properly, it will stay on until you decide to take them off. That can be anywhere from 3 weeks to many months. I say licensed because the “salons” most women go to are not standardized, they don’t sanitize your hands or tools, and they use illegal monomer (you’ll know it’s the bad stuff when you try to soak off your acrylic and it takes 3 hours without budging). They care about quantity, not quality. They may have one licensed tech there to run the place but most of the time they don’t go to nail school, which you need to do if you’re going to work in a nail salon. Be weary of who is doing your nails and how, and consult a professional when possible. Sorry for the rant, just had to inform y’all.

They last 2-3 weeks. Then you’re supposed to get a fill in at 2-3 weeks. So if they fall off it’s just because you waiting a little to long. Most nails places I’ve gone to will fix that and do a fill in for just slightly extra. Not much at all. But it is two different things. A fill in and 3 new nails. So it makes sense that you’d have to pay for those two things separately

Between proper application and proper maintenance at home, they can last 3-4 weeks, or even 6 weeks. I’ve had clients come in 6 weeks later and still look nice!

These were 4 weeks, no lifting, chipping or anything. She took care of her nails. She could have gone longer but she wanted a change. 
I typically go 5-6 weeks between my fills.
There are a lot of reasons why your nails could lift or break. Either they aren’t properly prepping your nails, properly laying the acrylic, properly curing the gel, ... or you aren’t taking care of your nails — not using them as tools, proper hand and cuticle care, picking, biting ... or they could be too long for you, not the right shape for you, ... honestly so many reasons.
But if they are just “falling off”, legitimately popping off and not lifting and being picked at, something was done wrong. Nail techs can tell when their clients pick at them and when it’s something they have done. You can see it on the nail bed. Clients lie to me all the time ... one visit, they’re perfectly grown out and beautiful, then the next, “oh I don’t know what happened, they just fell off.” But I see all the picking and chewing and ripping at whatever enhancement because it shows on the natural nail.

I’ve never had a nail fall off. I’ve gone 4 weeks and just had a gap from them growing out, but always have to pull or get them soaked off. Idk your length or whether you may have more heavy duty things you do with your hands, but I personally wouldn’t go back to the same salon.

I get mine filled ever two weeks. Once you pass a week, that’s not their fault. Plus some people are hard on their nails.

Mine never last more then a week unless I don’t get tips with it and just get acrylic on the nails then I can get them to last 2 weeks. Most people I know get them refilled every 2 weeks though. I don’t think they’ll fix them for free that long after doing them.
