When will I hear back about my maternity allowance?

I sent off the paperwork last weekend and I sent it off in a tracked delivery so I know it got to where it needed to be by Tuesday last week.
Will I get a letter or a call or anything to confirm how much I'll be getting paid or when the money begins? Or do I just wait and see?

It can take up to 6 weeks, I’ve just chased mine up and they have a back log but they did let me know over the phone that I’ll be getting the full amount. It basically can take up to 30 working days x

I rang them after 7weeks and they told me to ring them on my last day of work and I’m guessing they will start paying me then but I don’t know how much i will get!
