Another Gestational Diabetes question:

I went in for my normal biweekly appointment this morning. I’ll be 22wks on Wednesday. I have been checking my glucose 4x a day since 12wks- I had weight-loss surgery& was told I couldn’t do the 1hr fasting test. Anyways, my number have been incredible except for fasting.(first thing in the morning)

My doctor is sending me to a MFM because I apparently make too much insulin. I had started out on 500mg of metformin and was then bumped up to 1000mg- nothing helps. I have been following the diet& my numbers are somehow only getting worst.

Has anyone had this sort of GD? If so, how does it impact the babies?

Just trying to learn what I can.
