So, my March turn January baby was 5lb13 and birth 8 weeks premature he’s now 6 months old and only 14lb ..... I feel like he’s underweight but they have said he’s fine. I mean he’s grew so much but he’s been stuck at 14lb since he was 11 weeks old

I could be wrong but if baby was two months premature he should be right about on par with the March babies? My girl was 11pounds at her last check up so she’s probably around 13lbs now. She’s in the 22nd percentile for her weight.

My March baby boy was also born in January at 31 weeks, weighted 5lb 2oz 18.5in length & I feel the same was as you, he had a check up last Friday & his weight was 14lb 14oz & 25in length . His doc said he was doing really good for a premie baby & that he was actually on the curve for 5 month old babies (18th percentile) I was told his development should be of his adjusted age so if he’s right around the same weight for 3month olds then I feel a bit better. I try not to compare him to other 5 months old because it’s not  fair for him, he did not get to spend those extra two months inside mommy. I know its hard but we have to hang in there! Our premie babies are so strong & absolutely amazing!❤️

Not sure with premature babies their growth and development milestones but our pediatrician said the weight gain and growth would plateau after baby starts rolling, squirming across the floor and crawling. They burn a lot more calories moving so much rather than just weight gain/body growth like the first few months.

Is he breastfed?  Breastfed babies tend to level out around 3 months and their gain slows down quite a bit.
