My husband and I took our 3 month old daughter to visit his step mom and sisters (8 years old). Its been a rough couple days for her schedule wise. She hasn't been napping; their house has a lot of windows so it's really bright inside for her to nap. There is new sounds, new smells, new people. Everything is out of whack for her.

About half an hour ago she was wailing. We checked her diaper, bounced her, rocked her, sang to her but nothing worked. I had fed her less than an hour ago but I pulled out my boob and all was calm.

She is half asleep nursing on my boob. I was never someone who felt the magical connection for breast feeding. But my heart smiled during all of this. All the changes and new stuff over the past few days I am what is consistent and comforting to her. My mommy emotions are in high swing 💜🤱👶🏼
