Poop? 💩

My little one just turned a week old. While we're at the hospital she had a normal amount of meconium poopy diapers. We were at the hospital for two days, once we were home she had two VERY small poops on day 2 and 3. She has not had a poop since then. Is this normal to go that long without a poop? How often should a newborn/one-week-old poop?

A newborn should be upping their pee and poo diapers by one a day so first day, one poo one pee, second day 2 poos, 2 pees, etc. Breastfed babies may not poo as much because they use up more of the nutrients given and have less waste.

They told us two poopy diapers a day and as many wet diapers as they are days old for the first week or so.

My little guy pooped out all of his meconium then had a day or two he went without pooping. When he finally went it was watery and a lot! A mess! It started firming up after that lol and he usually goes at least once a day now.

I should mention she's exclusivly breastfed.
