Spinning kids and animals by their arms/legs , is it ok?

There was a video of this woman picking up her dog from under his arms (kinda like a bear hug) and spinning really quick. She looked to just be dancing with the dog but the animal didn’t seem to like being picked up like that. ( when she lifted it u can see the dogs back legs kinda twitch a little kinda as if it was jumping it didn’t yelp or anything. Definitely not as dramatic as some may make it out to be but a bit sketchy nonetheless)

The comments kinda got a little heated. (As to be expected from the internet) so I thought I’d see everyones thoughts on this.

I’ve been guilty of this playing with my nieces and nephews. Completely unaware of the risk it runs. Just not animals.

That being said, people of IG seem to think this is cruel to do to animals, but it’s not comparable when done to a child as it’s typically a form of “rough housing” or playing and “no one really gets hurt”.

Is it harmless fun or dangerous? And do you feel there’s a difference between doing it to a child or an animal?
