Working out during pregnancy.
I just wanted to share with everyone my "results" from staying active throughout my entire pregnancy! The first pic is when I was 36 weeks (I had to stop working out at that time but still walked and did lots of squats until I went into labor). The 2nd pic is me 4 days after giving birth. 4 days!! I gained 52lbs and was so upset about it but by the time I left the hospital I was already down 24lbs.
I worked out 4 times a week. Did barre class twice a week (HIGHLY recommend during pregnancy! There are free YouTube videos for barre), did cycling once a week and a strength class once a week. I had an amazing labor and a very quick recovery. I am feeling fantastic.
I just wanted to share what I did incase people are looking for things to do to stay active during their pregnancy, and show how it really is beneficial to stay active! My doctor said my labor and pushing was so quick (I pushed for a total of 35 mins and baby boy was sunny side up) to me staying active.
Just a note, always talk to your doc before starting a new exercise and don't start a new exercise regimine if you didn't workout before pregnancy!
