If you chose to adopt a dog that was aggressive towards new people until he really got to know them, would you just put the dog down if you got tired of dealing with it so you can adopt a new dog?

I know someone, wouldn’t really call them a friend for a while, that already has a 1 year old male pit mix, very sweet, but not neutered.

They decided to adopt a cane corso, huge dog, male, not neutered, not good around new people. He didn’t let me close at first but eventually was fine and loved me.

Fast forward, the two dogs get in a fight out of the blue and rip each other up pretty bad, but just surface cuts at least. They kept both around for a while but I guess decided they wanted to get rid of the cane corso. I’m guessing shelters wouldn’t take him, and they decided to put him down. They then immediately got a new dog. Is this wrong? I find it very disturbing and upsetting. I can’t imagine doing this. They chose to adopt the dog and it did nothing to them but love them. I’m not sure if I’m overreacting because I love dogs so I would like opinions ladies.
