Nope. I wouldn't even get involved with a dude who was in that sort of codependent relationship with their mother. 
My man hadn't been  depending on his parents for over 20 years when he and I got together. So, I mean, The umbilical cord was cut a LOOONG time ago... 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yes, very much so. She has two sons (including my husband) and she still treats both of them like babies. My husband’s brother still lives with his mommy and if he’s not home she still waits up for him and worries herself sick like he’s a teenager. He’s 45 years old! When we started dating, my MIL was still doing my husband’s laundry, cleaning his room and making him what ever he wanted for dinner. That shit changed real quick when I came into the picture. His brother still slept in bed with his mom until he was 12. I think that’s odd. They also had bottles until 5 years old and still put them in strollers until about 6 years old. She was putting my oldest daughter in a damn stroller still at 6 and I was like no, she’s not a baby! Let her walk like a normal child should. Thankfully my husband doesn’t act like a baby nor does he like to be babied. I don’t think I’d be with him if that was the case. With all that said, I love my MIL and she’s a great woman. I mean, you never stop worrying about your children even when they’re grown.

Oh gosh, lots of things! She still calls him “my baby boy”, especially when talking to me. She likes to assert her “possession” of him 🙄. 
She calls multiple times a day, even when he’s at work or spending time with me or at church. 
And she tells him everyone’s business and tries to make him confront people for her 🙄

I understand a mom will always be a mom and that’s okay but it gets to a point where you need to let your child grow tf up because as a mother when you’re gone how are your children going to independently take care of themselves without them depending on someone? My bf mom still cooks for him and his brothers. She will still do their laundry, and if they don’t have a job she’s okay with them sitting around. I feel bad for her because as old as she is they should be taking care of her.

Well I’m not sure how baby like it is but she’s definitely motherly. She always wants to go out to eat and pay, she brings over food, buys him random clothing items, makes him and Easter bag, try’s to take him on road trips. Tells him how to cook something. Tells him how to pay bills or fix stuff around the house. To me it’s odd, but I can see she’s just trying to be nice and she does a lot of this stuff for all of use not just my hubby. But like my parents dont treat us like this so it’s kinda baby like to me.
