What decongestant can I take?

Hi ladies!
I gave birth to my little man on Saturday. My throat was very dry and hoarse during labor and since then my nose has been stuffy and I sound nasally. Do you have any suggestions on what to take? Thank you in advance 😊👶🏻💙

Halls soothers. Paracetamol. That's it. Cant have anything with menthol in it as it'll dry your supply up. Boiled water in a bowl with a towel over your head or a hot shower.

There’s quite a few OTCs you can take, and you can call your OB’s office to find out which ones. However (!) when I’ve been sick breastfeeding, I never took any, because decongestants will dry up your milk. Decongestants dry out your mucus membranes,’such as your nose and mouth, but this would also include your breasts. They’re considered safe because small doses won’t affect baby, but it’ll affect your milk production. Some women take it because they’re so missable and need relief, and are told it’ll only dip their milk production a little. But I personally wouldn’t do it, especially if my baby’s so young and I’m still in the phase of establishing my supply.
