Why is it that in laws are so difficult to deal with?? At dinner last night they told hubby and I that they were going to take our nephew to his swim class and they didn’t have a car seat. (Was in his mother’s car who went to work). So they wanted to just hold him in the car without any proper protection. Thankfully they called the babies father and he said no, you cannot drive the baby without a car seat.

Yet another reason we will not allow them to drive our child!! Hubbys mom went on and on about how she thinks these car seat laws are ridiculous. She was like “how did we all survive without one?!” *sarcasm* I always tell her...cars are no longer built like they were in the 50’s and 60’s. They are designed to break and now can go over 80 easy on the highway. In the 50’s and 60’s your cars were tanks and they didn’t go even remotely close to that on the highway. So yeah... car seats are needed.

Plus, have you ever worked with a child that is disabled from not having been in a secure car seat? Goodness! It’s horrible! Babies deserve better treatment than that.
