How did you choose your formula brand? Feedback?

Hi again, mamas. I will need to introduce formula soon since I will be going back to work and won't be given enough time to pump on breaks. 
How did you choose your formula? What should I be looking out for? Anything you did not like at all or loved? 
My girl was supplementing for the first week with Enfamil Neuropro so I was considering that, but we really mostly did that one because the hospital gave it to us. I was researching Enfamil Enspire that says it's closest to breastmilk but it's SO expensive... I'd figure out a way to make it work if it truly was that good. Then, I saw the organic formulas by HappyBaby or Earth's Best... I'm at a loss! Asked the pediatrician and he basically made me feel bad because "all formulas are not as good as breast milk anyway so the brand doesn't matter" 🙄😔.

We've been using Kroger brand (comforts? I think) and haven't had any issues. It's also about $20 for 35oz of Powdered formula.

Your pediatrician is so wrong! Formula and breastmilk have been proven to be nutritionally equivalent (not 100% equal but both have their benefits). Every formula brand and subtype are made of the same core ingredients. You can’t really go wrong with any of them. If your baby was already taking Neuropro I’d stick with that one.

We use the Enfamil Nueropro. We just started using that when I stopped nursing because the pediatrician gave us samples so I stuck with it.

My baby is 6 months old (7 months July 7th). I have primarily EBF supplemented a couple of times and then when we began the weaning process we started with a bottle of formula in place of the nursing feeding (still only at one a day so far). The only two formulas that have worked for us have been Enfamil Enspire and Similac Pro-Advance. My daughter has no issues with either one. We use both for a few different reasons and have had no problems. In the beginning when she was from birth up to probably around 4 months old she was a really gassy baby with some “indigestion” and bad hiccups a couple times a day other Formula made it all worse the few times we used it but these two were the only ones that didn’t. My baby is also pretty finicky when it comes to the taste of formula and haven’t had her really refuse these. If you call Enfamil and let them know that you are getting ready to introduce formula and interested in Enspire & request a sample they will send you a full size (Average $39.99 Size can) of Enspire along with 2 coupons. Just make sure you let them know you would like to try it but can’t afford to spend $40 on something that might not work & be thrown away and then have to spend more to find a formula that does work. I have also been able to get some samples of the Similac Pro-Advance from her Pediatricians Office. We don’t get WIC or anything so I do understand how expensive it is so any little bit helps. One last thing go on YouTube and look up The Formula Expert type in Enfamil Enspire vs Similac Pro-Advance and it will pull up one that also includes the Gerber Formula. She is a doctor and does research on formulas. The video I’m suggesting is very informative and explains the difference between each one and how to figure out which one is best for you and your baby. She explains how each of the most like breast milk formulas are just as good as the next brand but the part that you need to look at is if you are looking for something to help prevent Autoimmune Disorders, or if sensitive stomach issues is a big issue & concern, etc.

We like Similac, I have tried Honest and Enfamil but they are too foamy and my son seemed to prefer Similac. Similac does send coupons when you join the moms group online on their website.

The only one my little guy could take was Similac. It doesn't have palm olein in it, which constipated him so bad.

I absolutely love enfamil I have sensitive stomach babies so with my first I used the reguline, second was gentlelease which REALLY helped with colic. But it got to expensive wic started covering only Gerber. So currently were on Gerber soothe which was similar to the gentlelease but he started to get constipated directly after use of it.

I use Up & Up from Target. $19 for the big tub. I use the gentle one (purple container) and have had no issues switching from breast milk.
