Lactation told us the rule was 6-6-6 
6 hours fresh
6 days refridgerated
6 months frozen
And since I think my breast pump is satan for all the abuse my nipples are taking it is easy to remember.

No more than 6 hours.  I honestly wouldn't even let it go that long, though.
