I requested a glucose test to be done in my 1st trimester bc two of my sisters had gestational diabetes and I have an extensive family history of diabetes. I had a one hour glucose test done today and that orange flavored sugar drink is the worst. It tastes horrible and the flavor stays on your tongue. Nasty, nasty! Hopefully I get the results soon and now I know what to expect when I do it again in my 2nd trimester. When I got to half of the bottle I just chugged it. Felt like I was gonna vomit about 5 minutes after drinking it but it’s all about managing your cognitions and after that it was all good.
