Its something you can only understand when you save a precious living creature from a life of misery, loneliness and abuse or death and that animal loves you and depends on you.

I never understood it until I adopted my kitten.

It's not the same as my own physical human children, but it's not supposed to be.

As humans, we have the mental capacity to love on so many levels.

Only the ignorant and narrow minded can't understand that.

Just think of the difference between the love for our spouses,

parents, children, nieces, nephews & grandparents.

Alllll different kinds of love, but love no less. Why wouldn't pets be part of that?
