If anything, our troubles TTC have brought us closer together.  There is no way I could keep moving forward without his support.  There were only 2 “hard” things.  
1) My hubby had to learn how to comfort me effectively.  He’s not as affectionate as I am, and he’s a coach.  All I wanted was to be held and not talk, and he’d immediately go into adjust and fix mode.  I needed time to grieve before going into fix it or move forward more.  We had to talk about our different ways of dealing with everything, and he has really worked hard to provide comfort and support in the way I need it.  
2) After our 7th failed medicated cycle (3 clomid and 4 femara +trigger), I got extremely depressed.  My hubby just didn’t know how to make it better for me, and that was hard on him.  I was so messed up that I couldn’t really be there for him.  It wasn’t a strain on our relationship, just a very, very sad time for both of us.
Throughout everything, we’ve been completely open and honest with each other about everything, our feelings, fears, excitement, etc.  Effective communication is key, and I truly believe it’s the most important thing for preventing strain.

All I know is lately whether it be because trouble conceiving or my significant other stupid job we've been a little bit more on edge than usual... on both ends we get offended easily LOL which is so unlike us

It was hard because my husband would not want to talk about our MCs when all I wanted to do was have someone to talk to about it. It didn’t put a strain on us, but it hurt for sure and I kept thinking I wouldn’t be able to give him the child he wanted and I wanted so why would he want to be with me? He told me that it didn’t matter if we never had kids because he loved me no matter what. I think it made us stronger in the end. We now have a 2 month old little boy.

After 3 years of infertility, 4 IUIs, 2 rounds of IVF and lots of appointments we had a huge relationship stain. We were able to see counselling to talk about our new reality, our fears, our expectations and we worked through a lot of those feelings. Infertility a rough road.
