Best way to buy custom blinds?

Question

We're thinking about replacing the blinds we currently have with something nicer.
Been on the project list since we moved in but they can be very expensive to get nice ones and I want to get ones that I really like with features like cordless, and maybe remote controlled for some.
I've never bought blinds before...any experiences with the best place to buy? I'm guessing it's cheapest to buy online but there are so many options I'm wondering if it's worth shopping in store with a consultant that knows what they're doing...

We went through Costco. They offer a Costco cash card, too, for 10-15% of the total amount, which is HUGE. We love our custom shutters.

Blinds are so easy to put up. My fiance and i just put new blinds in our bathroom and bedroom. We bought our blinds at Home Depot. They are thick plastic but look like wood. From what the guy at Home Depot told us, the federal government has required all blinds to be “cordless” Which is sooooo nice because you don’t have cords dangling. All you have to do is measure your window width, you can pick the kind of blinds you want and they will cut them as you stand there to fit your window. The ones my fiancé and i bought were about $35 each, but honestly they are totally worth it. Here is a pic of them in the window.

Ordered custom ones at Lowe’s! They have so many different varieties and options. They also have someone come out and measure them and install them as well!

I just bought custom blackout roman shades (cordless) on Selectblinds.com. I thought price was fair (i sew) and the quality is nice. I dont like blinds.
