What sunscreen do you use?

Every sunscreen I see says not to use on babies under 6 months. Curious if any of them are really ok for 3 month olds. Headed to the beach and not sure what to use.

I haven’t yet, but once my baby hits 4 months I’ll be putting some Arbonne sunscreen or thinkbaby sunscreen. I’d rather have a baby wish a rash from sunscreen then a sunburn. 
But like someone said before. They are afraid of things absorbing into their babies, but put lotions on their babies.... doesn’t matter what brand of baby products you use, there are chemicals.

I used Babyganics. Silly they say not to use sunscreen when half these people bathe their babes daily and lather them with lotion. Not much of a different to me 🤷🏼‍♀️

My pediatrician just told us yesterday no sunscreen til 6 months to keep her covered! Stinks since we have a pool but she has the cutest hat!

It’s not recommended to out sunscreen on babies under six months - their skin is still thin and can absorb the chemicals in it. Advice is to keep them covered in light, bright clothing (not white or pastels as it lets the sun through) and to keep them in the shade.

My pediatrician said she would rather baby wear sunscreen than her get a sunburn.

Make sure you use a natural one. I’m in Texas and it’s summer so after reading that on all the bottles I asked my pedi to be real with me. I mean we are going to be in the sun a LOT. Half the full coverage suits are for 6mo and older, hardly any hats fit tiny heads, the floats with covers are annoying as hell to deal with.... so she said as long as its a good one and you just use a little on the areas exposed then yes it is fine. Better than a sunburn! It’s like they don’t want baby out of the house until half a year according to all the swim gear and essentials but that is just not realistic.

I use avene 50+ for children (sensitive skin), because my daughter’s skin is really really light and she easily gets sunburnt. And my pediatric doctor recommended it

I use aveno 100% zinc. Dr. said zinc was only thing we could use.

Our pediatrician said hard no to sunscreen before 6 months. We use rashguards and sun hats or brimmed bonnets. We’ve been to the beach a few times and the pool. All good!

My pediatrician told me that she would rather have a sunscreened baby than a sunburnt baby. Just to wipe off the sunscreen as soon as we get out of the sun. But she recommended long sleeves, long pants, and a hat first but of course that gets way too hot some days.
