want to lose virginity but don’t know when 🤔

i’m 16 yo, and i’ve been with my boyfriend (also 16 yo) for almost a month, and we’re so in love with each other. i’ve never felt a more intense love like this before. we’ve set boundaries (i’m a virgin, he’s not) but i really want to have sex with him. i know all the facts and risks, and i want to get the experience but that also means he has to get tested; idk if i would want to have sex until i know he’s std-free, or if he does have one, then he gets it treated. i also would have to get birth control a month before i would do it, but i have no clue when that would be. i have a vibrator and i’ve tried using it every now and then, but it just doesn’t feel as good when i’m doing it myself. any advice for me? should i wait longer to lose my virginity?
