Am I asking and expecting too much? đ
My girlfriend and I hit our 2 years last month, itâs been pretty hectic lately due to me proposing to her and going on a trip to see my family. Plus getting in a car crash. My girl came with me to my familyâs and itâs just been going downhill now.
The whole time we were there I had to pick up after her while helping my stepmom with the house and my younger sisters. She constantly asked me to get stuff for her although sheâs pretty comfortable there. She always argued with me about dinner, weâd be eating in and sheâd go like âI want Chipotle.â I understand she has cravings but my step mom is in the kitchen making all of us dinner? When we got back home that wasnât the end of it.
We donât live together due to schooling and stress, weâre planning on moving in together once she finishes college, which means she visits a lot. Sheâs been staying for the last 3 days since we got back from my familyâs house and geez.
She doesnât pick up after herself. I had to stand at the sink for longer than 15 minutes doing all the dishes she promised to do. Drying them took up all my counter space. We have a dog, he lives with me and I take him out every morning at 5 am, I donât expect her to take him out in the morning, but she always complains and gets upset at me when I ask her to in the afternoon. I feed him, bathe him, make sure he has everything. Sheâll brush her hair over the bathroom sink and not clean up the counter after or even put away the hairbrush. She wants me to spend money on ordering her pizza when I cook us dinner every night. She promises to do dishes but when I got out of the shower this morning, they werenât done, so I had to stand there in my towel cleaning the dishes as she sat in the living room on her computer.
Is it normal for me to be cleaning and taking care of her? I donât know if Iâm unreasonable for being upset or being dramatic. What are your thoughts?
