What am I entitled too

Please help! I am currently receiving child benefit. My husband is full time in the army and works different hours a week. We're struggling so hard ATM waiting on his promotion. I'm pregnant and have an 8 month old daughter. Childcare is ridiculous and we can't afford it so I cant go to work. Does anyone know what other benefits I could be entitled to and help? I'm sick of worrying about money and 3 people soon to be 4 living off one persons wage ! (I'm only receiving child benefit) thank you !

If you go on gov website there's a benifit calculator that you full in and will tell your what your entitled to or eligible for

You need to apply for universal credit ( assuming it’s available in your area). You should be able to get some help depending on your other half’s income. There’s a website called entitledto.co.uk where you can put in some details and it will tell you what you can claim and how to.

Do you have universal credit in your area? If so, that is the only thing to apply for I'm pretty sure. Can your husband not claim tax credits(universal credit if its active around you)? If you worked enough before pregnancy, you'd be entitled to maternity pay unless you haven't worked? Yous could see if you can claim housing benefit. But it all depends how much your husband earns.

Do you live in married quarters? That will help a lot with bills etc. I'm in a very similar position as you, husband is navy and have 2 children etc so unable to work
