Do I need a bottle sterilizer?

Question

Are they a necessity? If you have one did you use it regularly or just a couple times and it take up space? I had just figured I would put bottles in the dishwasher to sterilize.
If you think it's a must have, what kind do you have?

Not really. You can use the dishwasher or boil some water for the same results. But if you wanna be fancy get a sterilizer

No. I boiled everything once before use, then just washed by hand after that.

Not necessary at all and it’s an outdated practice. Honestly, the AAP recommends that you don’t put plastics you use for babies and children a dishwasher or microwave. Heating plastics can leech chemicals.

I’ve got one and use it everyday but my baby is a preemie born at 35w. If he was term I probably wouldn’t sterilize everyday but would every couple/few days. It’s said to do so until baby is 6 months old. We have the baby breeza which holds 6 bottles that not only sterilize it but dries it too. I like it a lot! Better than the bags or avent one because those don’t dry them so then I’m putting them on the rack to dry 🙄

I would fill the sink with hot soapy water and sterilize that way with our son. Our first home didnt have a dishwasher so that's what i had to work with. This time around I will be using the dishwasher in this house. But will do the sink method in a pinch. I honestly think sterilizers are a waste of money

I was gifted an Instapot  (love it!). It has an option for sterilizing. It takes like 5 mins. I'd use it about once a week.

I used a bottle sterilizer every time  I had the one where you put your bottles in with a little water and put it in th microwave. Idk if it's a necessity but I'm very weird about cleanliness and it made me feel a lot better.

At first to me it wasn’t necessary. But my daughter got thrush and it won’t go away.. so my doctor said after each use of bottles and pcofiers they meed to be sterilized. I was going insane boiling bottles 2 times a day. 
I bought the munchkin ones at walmart for like 30$. Love it.

I got one and have never used it lol.
