Spotting in early pregnancy

Any insight? I have had two healthy pregnancies. I did not have this with either one. I am2 days shy of projected period. I have had this spotting on and off for a few days. Never consistent, and it has ranged I color from brown and light pink. Faint line Positive pregnancy test this afternoon.
