Do you guys ever feel scared with your Rainbow Pregnancy? Like you can’t help but prepare for the worst? Kind of on the fence until I get to the second trimester and know the baby is safe. I don’t want to get too excited. Can you relate?

I definitely relate but my husband and I have decided no matter what happens we're not going to "tread carefully" with this one and not get attached. We're going to love it the same ❤

I’m on my fifth pregnancy - one ectopic, one partial molar/triploidy, another triploidy, chemical and now this one.  I don’t feel excited.  I don’t know what to say when people congratulate me.  I keep responding, thank you, but we’ll see.  I’m only 8 weeks so not many people know.  I’ve had terrible morning sickness and people keep saying - that’s a great sign! But I had it with my second and third pregnancy as well.  With each sono, I keep waiting for them to tell me there’s no heartbeat.  That’s what happened with my 2 and 3rd at 10 and 11 weeks.  I find as I get closer to those weeks, I’m getting worse.  Trying to stay off the computer, overanalyzing every pinch, pain, symptom.  You’re not alone.  We’re all suffering from some sort of ptsd with having lost babies before ❤️ hang in there mama

I've been suffering with ptsd this entire pregnancy. I literally can't leave the house without having a panic attack ... so I don't , only for dr apts. it's been really rough for me mentally. I thankfully don't work and have a really supporting husband through it all. 
I also have a sub chorionic hematoma which is a sack of blood in the uterus and can bleed at any time, like massive bleeding. It's already happened twice. So that adds another fear. I wouldn't want to be in public when I have a bleed. 
I keep telling myself the further I get the better I'll feel.. but so far it hasn't. 
I always "prepare for the worst" when I was going to the dr for ultrasounds in the beginning , now being 17 weeks and feeling the tickles of the movement it's not sooo bad. I have an apt tomorrow and I'm hoping that I'm ok for it. I get a little nervous when I leave but I gotta give myself pep talks and calm myself down.

I’ve had miscarriages and my son died at 5 months old so I don’t necessarily have a “safe” marker. So far this baby is perfectly healthy and right on track. That’s really what’s keeping me going. PTSD is real and is a complete asshole.

Unfortunately that fear doesn't go away once you hit the second trimester, at least it hasn't for me. I'm 22 weeks and still terrified that something could go wrong. I actually had a bleeding scare that landed me in the emergency room while on vacation last week. Everything looks fine, but it was another reminder that things could still possibly go wrong. I don't think I'll ever relax until there is a healthy baby in my arms.

25 weeks here and oh how terrifying! Some days I feel okay.. some days I am just crazy scared!!

I'm pretty sure my baby is perfectly fine but not a single day goes by that I don't worry about how much Baby's been kicking or moving. I'd like to think that after my anomaly ultrasound I'll be more relaxed but even then I'll probably be worried about premature labor or something like that until my baby is in my arms.

I'm getting so scared about everything. We're getting ready to publicly announce within a week or 2 and I'm happy but absolutely dreading it, like I'm somehow going to jinx it. I'm 10+4wks and this is my 5th pregnancy. The farthest I made it was 6+5wks, so I already feel a little better there. But a very dark part of me is thinking if I miscarry this far along, I will never mentally recover. This is 9 years in the making and still get horrible PTSD-like flashbacks from the 1st miscarriage.

Yes, but the worry doesn't help anyone. And 2nd trimester safety is really a myth. I lost my baby at almost 4 months. I will relax a bit more when I get to 24W, but not much since there is no NICU near me and I'd be airlifted across the state.
