Black and grey tattoos

Hello, I’m planning my third tattoo on my inner arm as my 21st birthday present and I finally found a shop around where I live does pretty tattoos unlike others that is dodgy and expensive. I have talked to the artist and he gave me an estimation of the price until he said he only do black and grey tattoos. I did state that I want a little bit of red at the start but he didn’t state it till I asked.

Is black and grey boring? I’m just worried that without the colour it will be plain. If you have a b&g tattoo, could you show me? Thankyou. :)
