How late will you travel 2 hours away?

Hi ladies! FTM here wondering how late into pregnancy you will travel 2 hours away? Has anyone had guidance from their OB on this topic? I will plan to ask at my next appointment but thought I'd get some good feedback here. Thanks!

Unless you have specific instructions not to travel, you can go as far away as you want for as long as you feel comfortable. You aren’t supposed to fly after 36 weeks unless you have a doctors note though! But 2 hours is nothing. First time mom labor will most likely be longer than 2 hours so don’t worry about giving birth in the car.

I’m high risk with a cerclage in, so I am not planning to do anything once my cerclage comes out at 36 weeks.

I just traveled 2 days away by car and I’m 23 weeks. I’m due October 28 and at the end of August I’ll be going out of state again. Doctor seems ok with it.

I would ask your OB just to be sure. I went two hours all the time just be sure to get out and move every hour towards the end. I don’t think I’ll go very far after 35 weeks just in case

I have a bachelorette party two hours away when I’m 31 almost 32 weeks pregnant in August. I’m not going because I have had issues with preterm labor with my first and that’s a busy and stressful time at work that I need to be off my feet as much as possible. But talk with your doctor  I think you’ll be ok just listen to your body.

Being a FTM unless you have had issues or high risk they won’t mind you traveling. Most first time mom go over their due date. It’s the second, third, etc where they don’t want you going far I think mine said around 35-37 weeks max.

I currently drive 1-1.5 hours each way to work every day (depending on traffic). Not quite 2h, but I'm planning to take leave at 36 weeks because I'm not really comfortable with so much driving so late. My son was born at 37 weeks, and I'm a little worried about another early water break and being too far from home.

For me, I didn’t want to go to my inlaws an hour away after 35ish weeks.  My baby came at 37 weeks, so I was glad we decided to have travel cut off at 35 weeks.  I think we are doing about the same with this pregnancy.  Going down for 1 last birthday celebration for family September birthday right around 35 weeks and after that they have to come to us lol.
