Does anyone do Christmas in July?

So apparently there’s a lot of people who celebrate Christmas in July. Apparently it’s well celebrated that Hallmark actually puts out Christmas movies the whole month of July and people go as far as decorating their house and buying presents and such. I’m absolutely Christmas crazy but I feel like it’s wayyy to much. Plus I love the holiday in colder weather,I can’t stand the feeling of Christmas in hot weather. It doesn’t give it that “feel”. Does anyone else celebrate Christmas in July?

I don’t celebrate it. But if there’s a craft fair or some festival or event about it, I would go.

I don't, but I do start my Christmas shopping around this time so it's not a huge financial burden come December.

I don’t, my sister does a thing with her kids where on July 25th they pick one Christmas movie to watch and she makes frozen hot chocolate. I was thinking of adopting the tradition in the future! Instead of a full on Christmas in July, just something fun to do.

Sometimes, I do watch the movies.  I don’t go as far as decorating and celebrating.
This year, however, we are absolutely calling it our Christmas in July...FET on 7/19 🥰

Growing up I had a friend who’s family did. They would spend a week over the Fourth of July at their cabin (grandparents aunts uncle cousins) and do gifts dinner bbq and summer fun. 
They sent small gifts at actual Christmas but did not see each other so that all their kids could spend it with the other side of their families.

I like the idea behind it, my town is doing Christmas in July for their Old Homes Day theme 🤷🏻‍♀️But I wouldn’t personally make a real effort to celebrate another Christmas in July. It takes the fun out of waiting another year for the best holiday ever.

Yeah because my family is English but we live in Australia, so July is basically one of the coldest months of the year here making it feel more like an English Christmas. We don't do presents though, it's usually just a Christmas lunch or dinner with our other pommy friends lol

No but there used to be a bar near us that had a Christmas in July night once a year. Santa gave out gifts and they played Christmas songs. That's the only time I've ever heard of it.
