What do you guys think of my doona car chair I know it’s ugly but it’s practical for the school runs in the morning I had the cover made to make it look a bit better

I checked with my OB about slip covers for car seats. She said they were fine as long as they didn’t add additional padding. A fabric lining is fine. 
I think this is absolutely adorable and safe.

The cover is very cute but it’s not safe if you are using this as a car seat. After market items are not approved for safety.

You’d want to check with a car seat technician. They took trainings and know what is safe moreso than anyone else. And check your manual for the seat as well.

Where i live the drs, and even nurses say absolutely nothing added to the car seat, that isnt designed by the company for that car seat. Like i can use the car seat cover thats  a spandex to protect baby from wind, but nothing can be added other than that. Nothing on straps or that goes under the baby. Even those elephant ear things  to keep babies head up cant be used  unless it came with the car seat. The suggest rolled recieving blankets.
