What's better, sunscreen spray or lotion?

Both spf 50. I use spray on my kids because it's faster, but is it as good as lotion?

I use the lotion since I read an article once about how the aerosol sprays can be inhaled and cause harm. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lotion. The spray can get into your lungs and you’re more likely to miss spots.

Spray has chemicals which are very unhealthy to breath in, they are never recommended on kids.

Well I have a toddler so the spray worries me getting in his eyes or something and not fully covering his skin well enough (which he’s very fair skinned and will burn easily) so I use lotion myself I can be extra careful near his eyes and know I’m getting him fully covered

I’ve never seen the spray work on kids.. 
I have a friend from up north who has come down a couple times.. the first time she used the spray for kids (reapplying every hour) and her daughter got badly burnt.. the next time they came down I applied lotion all over her myself and she didn’t burn at all... I’m in Florida so a lot of beach time..

I read that lotion is better because you get a thicker coverage & are less likely to miss spots.

I personally just hate the feeling of the lotion. But both work the same.
