Hi all! I’m new to this group and

I’m in need of some advice! Iv just been diagnosed last Thursday and been doing my blood sugar checks the past 2 days, I have to check before a meal and an hour after (I assume this is the same for all gestational diabetes)

I tested just before I ate and came out at 5.5mmol, then an hour after my food, and for some reason my level dropped to 5.3mmol instead of rising? Has anyone else ever come across this? Iv just eaten some m&ms and will be testing again in a couple of hours just before bed
