ADVICE? I’m going to be a SAHM!

I am so excited and scared. I’ve worked my entire life, but we crunched numbers and it’s going to be tiiiight but we will manage to swing it. What should I know about stay-at-home mommyhood?

You will lose your mind lol 
Make sure you schedule play time. Outside time and such you will become really irritable if you don't go out. When babe is old enough schedule play dates because that adult interaction will be needed plus baby needs to be socialized. :) Good luck. I love it and hate it!! What has helped me is a strict schedule with my kids.

Get out of the house when you can or you will end up cleaning things that are already clean!

I dont have any kids yet. But were working on it. Im a full time student but when i was I was skipping semesters and had breaks in between.. i got so antsy being at home. I would clean the house and babysit my cousins son when he was very little. But the whole SAHM thing would never be for me. Even with being a student I still have the role of keeping the house clean and everything well. I couldnt imagine doing it with a child or 2 full time. But if you love it, thats great. If you get antsy or bored with it you could possibly just get a part time job. Not for the money necessarily but for you to be able to get out and do something. Or dont be afraid to possibly get a part time babysitter or child care so you as a stay at home mom can have personal time. Because being a SAHM you wont ever get any.

I love that everyone is saying the same thing!!! It is boring and usually husband is tired and ready to relax when he gets home and your kinda ready to go just somewhere! Get up and get ready, the longer you don’t do that in the morning you won’t, which then may make you stay home instead of venturing out. You’ll feel better if you get ready most days.

Get out of the house! 
Seriously, taking baby to the park, the library, even Walmart or whatever several times a week (if not every day) will save your sanity!
