Sleepless Crying Baby ... solved (I think)

Hey ladies. I’ve been one one of the glow apps since I was trying to conceive. I’m 3 weeks pp and it’s my first time posting but I really wanted to share in case it helps someone. So my LO has been a pretty good sleeper since birth. Not a big cryer usually pretty simple to figure out what’s wrong, hungry wet or tired but for the last 2 days he has not been sleeping (45 mins to an hour) and screaming at the top of his lungs. Even when he’s nursing from the bottle he starts crying. I noticed he was gassy and got him some infant gas drops but it didn’t help much. I’ve been at my wits end tired out of my mind from getting no sleep.

Well today I was feeding my baby and like 10 mins went by and he hadn’t drank an ounce yet and his eyes were getting sleepy. I started realizing that he’s only been drinking half his usual amount the last two days and it occurred to me. I’ve been reusing the disposable nipples from the hospital because he likes them better. I change the nipple to a medium flow that i had at the house and all of a sudden he started downing the bottle. Then guess what?? No crying he chilled for a few minutes and has been napping for the past 2 hours.

the nipple flow was too low or the reusable nipples were no good anymore but my baby was not getting enough food which led to him to not sleep. If anyone is noticing your baby is not eating as much and is cranky or always hungry and is bottle fed, check your bottle nipple flow. I’m so relieved to see him sleeping.
