Period starting soon. What pad to get 12 yr old daughter?

My daughter just turned 12 in May and I want to be prepared for when she start her cycle which i feel could be any day now. She has boobs, pubic and armpit hair, pimples. 
I went to Walmart and didnt know which pad I should get. so many to choose from
Any suggestions?
Wings, no wings 
Long, short 
Ultra thin, thin, (forgot the other names)
Im a heavy bleeder so i no the ones i use is a no go.

Kotex makes tween / teen pads, liners, and tampons. I would get those they are are smaller and not as diaper feeling for a young lady! There was nothing I hated more than a pad that was so big I was worried people could see it through my leggings and denim haha

I would get a couple of different options that have pads for lighter and heavier days, I would create a basket for her with pads, a heating pad, some chocolate, maybe a cute water bottle, and some other comfort items.

I used always for years, recently switched to Kotex and am much happier with them! They're thin and I have sensitive skin and they don't irritate me, and don't bunch up as much as Always. Get 1 pack of lighter flow no wings and 1 pack of heavier with wings. But fyi my younger sister never wore pads even at age 11. She just despised them and went with tampons from the get go. I would try the pads first though, less risky than tampons.

My sister is 12 and just started hers, this is just her experience with it so far and I know it’s different from person to person. Hers has been super heavy, especially at night so she leaks through. She’s been wearing the teen ones by Kotex and just over night ones. She asked me about tampons lol I told her it’s not the best for her right now as they can be dangerous if you don’t change them often enough. She’s really good with changing her pads but that’s because of how heavy hers is! I’d get a mix of a few so if I’m the middle of the night she feels it’s heavy she can throw on a bigger pad. Or if hers is light she can throw on a lighter pad/liner. But mine was really heavy when I first started too, so I know when my daughter gets hers I’m going to have a stash (she’s 20 weeks gestation in my belly- can’t even believe I’m thinking of this right now haha)

My oldest likes the thick, short pads with wings... she says she feels scared it will leak if she uses the thinner ones lol just make her a period starter kit so she can use a few different kinds and decide what kind she likes best 😊 you can make it cute and discreet so she can keep it in the bathroom or her bedroom. I also got my kiddo a cool purse so when she needs to take things to school she won't feel embarrassed.

I was 10 when I got my period and it was and still is extremely heavy. I wear 2 pairs of underwear and always bleed through. My go to has always been always ultra thin with wings overnight or long. I would get that brand and maybe a few different lengths. Def with wings cus as a kid bleeding on your underwear during school is traumatic. And once she gets it I would have a pouch in her book bag that has extra underwear and supplies. Keep a pair of pants in her school locker if she has one.

I second the Always Infinity ones. They are thin and light, yet hold a lot of blood. I'm a pretty heavy bleeder, but have never had any problems with those ones. They come in all different lengths, so for starters I would just get her the shortest ones for during the day and the longest ones for at night. They come with wings, which I also like. Without wings I just feel like the pads don't stay in place.

Also, some companies like Kotex and Playtex will send you a free period starter pack. Which is cool. Before getting pregnant, I used Cora brand. They're a little pricey, but organic, tell you the exact ingredients in them, and give pads/tampons to girls in third world countries so they don't have to miss school because of their period. Really awesome company. I think they also have a period starter kit, but not sure

When I started my period, it was so light, I used panty liners for a while. I suggest ones with wings though. As I got older and my period got heavier, I had a lot of accidents where my pad didn't fit right and would move around. I ended up ruining a lot of underwear and some white shorts and a few pairs of jeans. So I suggest wings. Once I hit 16 I started using tampons because they are just cleaner to me than pads. But I think she should be able to choose if she wants to use pads or tampons. Give her a few options
