Is my boyfriend gaslighting me?

Anabelle

Last night we had an argument about Belle Delphines octopus video. He believes that the octopus/animals should be respected after death and I didn’t view the video as that deep. He started interrogating me on my opinion and then said my answers were stupid and illogical. Then I started laughing because I couldn’t help but think of the octopus with it’s googly eyes. Then that escalated into a ‘once u start laughing you can’t stop’ situation. To which my boyfriend got even more about and told me that it was forced laughter and he could ‘see in my eyes’ that it was forced and that I could have stopped laughing if I tried because ‘everyone can hold back laughter’. I said it wasn’t forced and I was just laughing about the octopus’ googly eyes. He again denied it and repeated what he said. Another example is one time we were having a discussion. Usually discussions come to an end. So he was saying something and then he stopped talking. I took that as the end of the discussion and was just looking out of the window just thinking. He then says a stupid joke and by stupid I mean homophobic, to which I had nothing to say because I don’t need to partake in that foolishness. He then starts singing, all while I’m still just thinking. Then he barks at me ‘what’s wrong!?’ To which I said nothing. Then he says that I was ignoring him and I should have replied to the end of the discussion, his joke or his singing. I told him that to me I thought the conversation was over and that I wasn’t intentionally ignoring him. Then he said that I was. Since then, everytime he’s ‘ignored’ me I’ve pointed it out and he just ignores me. Last night I told him that this was a big issue for me and all he said was ‘okay’. Idk what to do, he always tells me I’m being over dramatic and never takes me seriously or takes on board what I’m saying unlike me
