Tips for swollen feet?

So, after sitting outside in the heat yesterday for the four of July festivities, my feet are now  quite swollen. I've had them elevated as much as possible, using peppermint foot cream, ice etc. Anyone else have tips to help with the swelling? Also trying to hydrate like crazy.

I asked my doctor and she said put feet up. Like laying down. Or compression socks

Feet up! When I didn’t have AC I would plop myself down on the bed in front of the fan, put my feet up on a few pillows (supporting my knees too) and stay like that for a while. I find it reduced the swelling a bit!

I found feet up, lots of water helped but the biggest difference was eating lots of cucumber, watermelon and lemon water.

Compression socks are a must. They make ones that are toeless for sandals or even footless so it's just from knee to ankle. All day, everyday.

Make sure you are ACTUALLY drinking enough (I thought i as when my feet and ankles were super swollen in Louisiana...but definitely wasn't enough 😂)
Also, when elevating your feet, make sure they are above your heart!! Ice packs help too.

Try drinking some pedialyte too! It'll help balance out your electrolytes. Also potassium rich foods are helpful too (or take a supplement with Dr. approval). If you have access to a swimming pool that you can submerge up to your neck in, go in that as much as you can too. I had horrible swelling with my first baby so I'm trying really hard to stay on top of it with this one!! :)
