Is breastfeeding getting easier for mommy and baby??

8 weeks today and things are hopefully starting to get better. Baby boy has had his tongue tie released three times now because the tie was so thick, it kept reattaching even though I diligently have been doing the stretches!! Poor thing still has a miserable latch and sucks in so much air. his bottom lip doesn’t go down far enough and the top curls inward. He is finally able to handle my fast letdown without a nipple shield so I feel like we’re getting somewhere. Hopefully it just keeps getting easier the older he gets!

Breastfeeding got better then I got mastitis at week 7. It just came back at week 9. Baby has a small tongue tie so he has difficulty with my boob with a slightly larger nipple (which was my master producer last time around). It’s a difficult journey but we’re in this for the long haul!

I've learned so many changes, issues, highs and lows happen that breastfeeding is an experience in itself. I always thought it was corny it was referred to as a 'breastfeeding journey' but it's so true.
It took my first born 6 weeks for us to get the hang of things. Like to the point I wasnt struggling at every feed and crying over our latching issues and pain. We nursed for just shy of two years. I had to make adjustments for pumping after returning to work, bottles, teething, sickness, binky elimination, etc throughout the two years. There were periods of easy nursing, but it never was an exact science after a certain amount of time passed.
With my second born I'm nursing now who is 6 weeks, it was easy from day 1 because he had a great latch. But, we had to work though mastitis and reflux issues, which I never had with my first.

Ugh. I pump and bottle feed because of having twins. It is just easier for me but pumping is such a pain and I only produce enough for half a day for 2 babies. I breastfed and formula supplemented for a year with my first born.  Not sure how long I will do this for the girls.

I’ve had a ton of issues with my little one as well 😩 we had his tongue tie snipped two weeks ago and I’ve only seen a small improvement. I don’t think his suck is as strong as it should be as it still takes him 30-40 minutes each side to eat(he takes a few breaks too). I’m seeing an LC this coming week. 
I’ve honestly been pumping for 90% of his feeds and breast feeding 1-2 times a day. I can pump in 20-30 minutes verses sometimes sitting there for an hour and an half while he breastsfeeds. 
I’m determined to keep feeding him breastmilk because I’m a germaphobe and idiots don’t vaccinate their children anymore so I want to give him the best protection I can.

Breastfeeding has been physically easy for us since day 1, but it’s getting way harder for me emotionally at 6 & 1/2 weeks. I told myself I’d try to make it to 2 months & if I’m still so unhappy I’m switching to formula for my own sanity.
