Breast engorgement 5-6 months pp?

Question

Yesterday morning when I got up my breast where fuller then usually when I wake up, today morning the were so full and painful that I had to wake my daughter to feed her. Is this happening to anybody else? Why would they suddenly become engorged again? My daughter has been feeding as usual during the day, no changes there. (She will be 6 months on the 21)

Possible that even though the # of meals is the same, your daughter is needing more- so your supply might be adjusting to fit her needs. Or it could be that she’s ready to drop a feeding and there might be a meal during the day where she’s not eating as much— you would obviously be more qualified to say which one it was.  I’ll wake up engorged every once in a while and this is due to either my baby waking up for an unusual extra meal late at night or my baby not eating as much for her last feeding/maybe only eating off one side
