Is it easier to have your kids closer together or farther apart?

My daughter is four months old and I’ve started thinking about another baby. I’ve heard varying opinions on having them closer together. My thought is that I’d like to get the infant stage done before I’m much older (turning 30 this fall), and my husband is only a couple years from forty. 
Would it be too much work to have two kids under two? Or worth it in the long run to have both of them out of diapers before my husband is forty?

It's what you're up for. My husband was ready by 1 yo with my son. I was not. We waited til he was almost 2 and tried. Now my son will be almost 3 as long as this baby sticks. Which is fine with me and I thought I'd want them super close in age. But expense and my mental sanity with the toddler times was more of a factor than super close age gap when reality set in

Closer together. It’s hard at first, but you get used to it. My kids are 12 months & a week apart. I love it!

I’ve got 4 kids all boys are 13 months apart and so are our girls I had 4 under 4 at once 🥴 its chaotic but soo much fun at the same time.

Ultimately it's up to you and what works for your family. 
My babies are 7 years apart, and for me/us an age gap is magic. I don't have two sets of diapers to change at a time, I don't have back-to-back terrible twos, I don't have to potty train back-to-back or both at the same time, my oldest can help and have fun teaching her baby sister big milestones instead of me constantly making sure both are on track, feedings are a breeze, I don't have two kids not sleeping through the night (just the one), and when school starts back up I'll get to be able to spend 1-on-1 time with my baby like what my oldest got when she was a baby.

It’s really up to your family. 💓 each and every situation is different. I am waiting at least 3 years before even considering another baby, I’m 17 though.

Mine are 19 1/2 months apart and I love it. My third is due in September and he will be 23 months apart from my middle child.
