They think I have cancer and I’m pregnant..
In August of 2017 I had a “major” dental surgery done. I had 16 teeth removed.
Shortly after the surgery, I found a lump in the side of my tongue. It grew and became very painful and black in colour. I ended up having to see a surgeon and they surgically removed it. They said at the time, it was from being pinched by a tool during my dental surgery but that is it came back they would need to test me for cancers as cancer runs in both sides of my family..
Well, I’m now 36 weeks pregnant and noticed about a 1-2 months ago that I had another lump growing. I called the surgeon immediately and they said I needed to see my family doctor and get a referral. My family doctor decided she was leaving the province so during this they were trying to replace her. I finally have a new family doctor. I saw him and he sent over the referral. I had my first appointment with the surgeon and he reminded me id have to be tested for cancers and have the tumour removed again to have a biopsy done. The tumour has continued to grow and is so painful now that talking hurts and it swells to the point it cracks my tongue and makes it bleed.. I’ve started a few of the tests and the results aren’t looking very promising.. they want to wait until after I have my son to do the surgery but I want to breastfeed and after the surgery I am on a liquid diet for 2-3 weeks.
THIS IS SUCH A MESS!!! I’m so scared but trying to stay calm.. has anyone else had an experience like this?😩😭😭
